How does the performance fee work?

A performance fee is a payment made to an investment manager for generating positive returns. This is as opposed to a management fee, which is charged without regard to returns.  We only profit if you profit.  For example, were you to invest $100 and your investment grows to $500, a 20% fee would be charged on the $400 increase.
